چکیده
The purpose of this prospective case series was to determine the effectiveness using a combination core decompression and injection autologous conditioned plasma (ACP) for treatment symptomatic knee bone marrow lesions (BML), as well report on preliminary clinical results based magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) patient-reported outcomes (PROMs). Patients with OA-related BML who failed improve conservative three months underwent an identical procedure consisting arthroscopy, decompression, intraosseous ACP were followed up 12 months. A statistically significant reduction in pain improvement function, measured by Numeric Pain Rating Scale (NPRS) Knee Injury Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS), observed at one-week follow-up (8.3 ± 0.8 1.5 1.0; p ≤ 0.001 33.4 10.6 53.9 13.6; respectively). After six weeks, weight-bearing allowed, but trend did not change—the NPRS continued be low (average 1.4 12-month follow-up) total KOOS increased 44.6 points from baseline 78.0 follow-up). Determinants of pain in patients with symptomatic knee osteoarthritis
Background: Several factors are associated with the development or exacerbation of pain in knee osteoarthritis (KOA). In this study, we reviewed this context based on relevant studies. Methods: Recent published studies which have addressed the relationship between pain and KOA were summarized. Results: Correlates of the clinical, demographic features, laboratory tests and abnormalities on...

Clinical and Pathophysiologic Significance of MRI Identified Bone Marrow Lesions Associated with Knee Osteoarthritis
Knee osteoarthritis (OA) affects the joint beyond just the articular cartilage. Specifically, magnetic resonance imagingidentifiedbone marrow lesions (BML) in the subchondral bone have both clinical and pathophysiological significance.Compared to joint space narrowing on traditional radiographs, the presence of BMLs has been better correlated withseverity of clinical symptoms ...

متن کاملAutologous transplantation of bone marrow cells improves damaged heart function.
BACKGROUND Autologous bone marrow cells (BMCs) transplanted into ventricular scar tissue may differentiate into cardiomyocytes and restore myocardial function. This study evaluated cardiomyogenic differentiation of BMCs, their survival in myocardial scar tissue, and the effect of the implanted cells on heart function. METHODS AND RESULTS IN VITRO STUDIES BMCs from adult rats were cultured ...
